Angelica Mauro-Martin

As a Part-Time Research Assistant for Main Captiva, LLC. (MCL), Angelica Mauro-Martin establishes and maintains the thought leader database and provides Spanish translation when needed. She supports projects directed by MCL team. She is responsible for research and data entry, which utilizes her skills in grammatical and compositional understanding, as well as attention to detail. Angelica is proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Angelica is currently attending the University of Iowa and will graduate in 2017. She has a 3.36 GPA and is majoring in Health Sciences with a minor in Spanish. She is also getting a Certificate in Disability Studies. She hopes to become an Occupational Therapist. While in high school, Angelica graduated with a 4.2 GPA and on the honor roll. She was a physical education leader and a student mentor. Angelica focused on more specific elective courses such as Child Development, Preschool, Information Processing, and Introduction to Business. She studied Spanish for nine years and studied abroad in Seville, Spain for two weeks during the summer of 2012.

Outside of school and work, Angelica is a member of Alpha Phi Omega Omicron Service Fraternity at Iowa and this past semester was VP of her pledge class and will be Pledge class trainer next semester. While in High School, Angelica was on the junior varsity Lacrosse team. She was also in school clubs such as Big Red, a school spirit club; Junior Class Board; The National Honor Society; and Reality, a drug and alcohol prevention club for which she was on the council. She was part of the Youth Advisory Council for the Barrington Area Drug Prevention Coalition. Angelica was a volunteer at the Hospice and Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois center and the Cuba Township Food Pantry. She also volunteered for various social, school, and community events within Barrington.
